Meet our Founder & Course Creator

I’m Chris, “I help entrepreneurs hack the startup process.”

I'm the Founder of ZeroBlue, a startup loan accelerator that helps entrepreneurs get startup funding as quickly as possible.

My insight into startup capital comes from working at the Small Business Administration (SBA), a major funding source for lenders. At the SBA, I was privy to the processes for approving and denying a variety of business loans. I also worked within the SBA’s venture capital division. This is where I saw entrepreneurs battling to secure startup capital.

But it’s not enough just to secure a loan, you have to be able to design a business using proven methodologies. I've had the honor of co-facilitating an exceptional startup course at one of the top colleges in the world, Columbia University in New York City. I also provided small business loans and taught cutting-edge entrepreneurial strategies while serving as the Director of a Community Development Financial Institution. I've also practiced what I preach by raising funds for my own ventures, so I know which strategies are the most effective.

 Why I Created The Program

I created this program because I don’t like seeing great ideas go to waste and I hate seeing people fail because someone with a similar idea, but better resources and finances, beats them to market. I decided to use my industry insights to hack the startup process so you don’t waste time launching your idea and end up losing out to fast movers.

Having worked in the small business industry for over two decades I know how frustrating it is to secure funds to start a business. We’re bombarded with enticing promises and questionable marketing where the word “easy” is thrown around. That’s why so many entrepreneurs think it’s easy to get startup funding. The reality is you can’t just go into your bank and ask for a loan, or miraculously find a venture capitalist to throw money at you. And, if you’re looking to sign up for a free grant, you may as well buy a lottery ticket at the same time.

And it’s not just about securing capital, many entrepreneurs lack the experience and training to properly design a business using proven methodologies. My experience of working as a small business lender, and more specifically as a lender in the startup loan industry, makes me an expert on the specific loan resources available to new entrepreneurs. This program is specific to new entrepreneurs and solves specific problems with specific steps to create the foundations for success.
